The I-MET 2018, Bridging the gap between Industry and Institute ,Industrial Summit was organised on 8th September 2018, Saturday at Conference Hall, Bhujbal Knowledge City, MET’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nashik. The summit was graced with valuable presence and participation of various renowned dignitaries from Pharmaceutical field such as Dr. (Mrs.) Vandana B. Patravale, Professor of Pharmaceutics, Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai; Mr. Sandeep Deshmukh, Director, Delta Finochem Pvt., Ltd; Dr. Ajay J. Khopade Vice President R&D, Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd. Vadodara; Mr. Ravi Samant, Director, Anish Pharma Equip. Pvt. Ltd., Nasik; Mr. Ajay M. Joshi, Director Prism life Sciences Ltd, Mumbai; Mr. Manoj M. Chitnis, Sr. General Manager (QA)Amneal Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad; Dr. Pradeep Patil, General Manager, Global IP & Corporate Strategy Wockhardt Research Centre, Aurangabad; Mrs. Shilpa H. Raut, Global training Manager Novartis Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai; Mr. Nitin Ghode, Asst. Manager, Manufacturing, Glaxo-SmithKlime Pharmaceutical Limited, Nashik. All IAC members actively participated in the summit and gave their valuable suggestion for the put forth agenda points. On the occasion of Industrial Summit, special guest lecture series was organized where students from NDMVP college of Pharmacy, MGV’s Pharmacy College also benefitted by the sessions. Dr. Ajay Khopade interacted with students on current scenario of research and development in Pharma Industry; Mrs. Shipla Raut shared importance of clinical research and career avenues for Pharma Professionals; Mr. Manoj Chitnis discussed the importance of quality assurance in pharma Industry and Dr. Pradeep Patil presented role of Regulatory affair in pharma Industry. The M.Pharm project were scrutinized by the various industry personnel such as Dr. Chetan Yeole, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Sinnar; Ms. Madhuri Jain, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Sinnar; Mr. Sachin Kushare, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Sinnar and Mr.Rohan Pawar, RAP Analyticals, Nashik. IAC members interacted with the teaching staff members and motivated them for research activities and research grant. They also discussed the importance of inter-disciplinary work in research area. Dr. Nilima Thombre and Mr. Harshvardhan Mishal coordinated the overall summit. Industrial Summit was conducted under the guidance of Mr.Sameer Bhujbal, Trustee, Bhujbal Knowledge City; Dr.Shefali Bhujbal, Governing Body Member, Bhujbal Knowledge City and Principal, Resp. Dr. Sanjay J. Kshirsagar.
