Department of Electronics and Telecommunication

  The Electronics and Telecommunication department of MET’s IOT, Polytechnic was establishedin year 2006. The department started with diploma course with specialization in VLSI design,Control systems and PLC, Embedded systems etc.

  Over the years, the department has acquired expertise in area of VLSI design, Digitalcommunication, Control systems and PLC, Embedded systems etc. State of the art laboratorieshave been set up and are well equipped with all the technical facilities and resources both interms of hardware and software. The department has experienced and well qualified facultyhaving obtained their educational credentials from premier institutes.

  Faculty members actively involved in student development activities. The department providesthorough knowledge to the students to achieve core competence in the field of Electronics andTelecommunication field. With increasing demand of miniature electronic communication andcontrol devices, it has been challenge from quite long time to study and research the electronicmaterials, devices, circuits, microprocessors and microcontrollers with the interfacing devices.

  • The department has six core subject laboratories fully equipped with advanced highstandard equipments.
  • All the laboratories are equipped with advanced equipments like DSO, Microwavebench, TV kit, Microcontroller kits etc.
  • Computer laboratory has Latest version of Eagle, Matlab and Xilinx software.
  • All the staff members of department are members of ISTE.
  • The department is continually conducting technical paper presentations, technicalworkshops to upgrade the knowledge of students and staff as well.
  • The department is continually arranging Industrial visits to Akashwani, BSNL, GMRT,Hydro power stations etc.
  • Apart from central library department has its own library for immediate references for students.
