About Department

The Department of Sciences & Humanities  trains the newly admitted student with the rudiments of the applied sciences, basic engineering practices, subjects and the domain of humanities. The department covers subjects such as Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Drawing, Communication Skills which are fundamental parts of the engineering curriculum and a precondition for the core knowledge in specified branches. The department conducts counselling sessions, microproject competition, personality development programmes, presentation Skills, guidance programs, poster and essay competitions, seminars. In order to get first-hand experience of basic sciences and language learning, students enjoy learning by utilising state of the art laboratories such as Chemistry Lab, Physics Lab and Language Lab. Besides preparing the students for the engineering course, the department makes them ready for the academic years ahead by inculcating human values in a conducive atmosphere.
