Seminar on Mozilla Firefox

One day workshop on Mozilla Web Maker Party held on 9th August 2014. Workshop was conducted by Ankit Gadgil, Mozilla Reps Mentor and Divanshi Pandey,Mozilla Reps.
• Makers (primary) are people who want to go beyond what they can do with normal social media.
• Mentors (secondary) are people who want to help make web makers by running events and teaching.
Objective: • Build features to level up skills, craft and code as we make things
• Create a global community of makers and mentors that power Web maker
• Turn users into makers
• Add gallery + social media: sharing happens on Webmaker.org + across the (social) web
• Build in tools that let you pull in your own content from mobile and social networks
Workshop was attended by the students of SYMCA and TYMCA .This activity was held under eMAS students association.
Execution of Event :
Presentation:
Presentation started at 10.10am after felicitation of speakers by senior staff members. Speaker introduced topics like Mozilla, about Firefox, about Firefox Student Ambassadors, Web Maker Tools(Thimble, Popcorn Maker-Ray Goggles AppMaker) and Firefox OS.Presentation finished at 12.00pm with lot of excitement of student for practical session as they came to know many things are available as open source and they can design web pages without any web experience within short time.
Practical Session
At 12.30 students gathered in respective lab for practical session. Student suggested their area of interest for web maker tool. Simultaneously two web maker tools in each lab was conducted. Students created their web pages in their respective web maker tool and uploaded also. Main Features

Conclusion:
The event was fabulous. Feedback for the event was excellent given by the student. They wanted to conduct event in future also. Students were happy after attending the workshop as they could see their web pages on internet within short time.
