Eco-Friendly Ganesh Utsav

Under e-Mas Student Association of MCA department presented street play in college.

The group of twelve students presented a street play titled ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ which is written and directed by Chetan Thakare with the help of Abhijeet Wagh. The Street play was aimed creating consciousness about pollution made by people during ganesh ustav and most serious impact of the Ganesh Ustav on environment.

The play tells the story of four citizens who are celebrating ganesh ustav, how we love to decorate ganesh idols beautifully and celebrate ganesh festival with great zeal. But the most serious impact of the ganesh festival on environment is due to the immersion of idols. The immersion of idols made out of chemical material causes significant water pollution. They encourage people to use environmentally idols and decoration. Use idol such as unbaked clay, coconut with natural colors.

The play is based on celebrating eco-friendly ganesh ustav grandly without harming environment and other living being. They got valuable guidance in this play from Prof.V.P. Wani Sir, Prof.Deogire mam and Prof.Apeksha madam.
